Psalm 1

Intro:  Two different pathways

 

 

I. Two way described: ( 1-2)

 

* The way of the wicked has a progression. (1)

 

 

 

 

* The way of the righteous has a delight ( 2)

 

 

 

 

II. Two images depicting the result of  two ways men choose.

 

* Flourishing....A fruitful tree planted by streams of water (3)

 

 

 

 

* Fruitless.....Like chaff that is blown away or burned!(4)

 

 

 

 

III. Two final destinations (5-6)

 

* The wicked...will not stand in the judgment

 

 

* The righteous .....the Lord knows and watches over because the way of the righteous is the way of Jesus Christ.
